Siting Sources

Today we used three different sites, Citation Machine, Easy Bib and Source Aid. I found I liked Easy bib the most. I found it to be most user friendly. Unlike Citation machine which you had t go through a lot of steps to get to the correct MLA format I wanted to use, if I did not have step by step instruction teaching me how to do it, I would have never learned how. Source aid was also a lot like Citation machine because I thought it was not very user friendly and was hard to understand what I was supposed to fill into the spaces about the cite I was trying to site. Easy bib was unlike the others it was easy to use and the direction on what to fill in were easy to understand.

Evaluating Websites

Today we looked at two websites Google Gulp and Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie, we were told to find the site that was a real and reliable source. Google Gulp was unreliable, the information was not clear on who wrote it, the aims of the site are not clear, I do not think what its aim was, was not achieved, I was not able find another site shared the same information, the site is resent but they use many slang words that makes be believe that the product Google Gulp is not accurate and not possible. All Unlike Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie which has a way to contact the author, its organized, It follow all the key things to look for when looking for valuable information.

River of Doubt Summery

November 5, 1912, President Theodore Roosevelt had just lost the election for a third term to Eugene V. Debs. He was upset and ready to get away from. In 1913 he was asked to go on a trip to South America, were his son lives, to explore and unknown river. He took the offer and went with his son and a few other men. When they got there a man named Candido Rondo offered to help them on their journey. Together they charted about 1,000 miles of land. But it wasn’t easy of safe. Throughout the trip they experienced, death by murder, dieses, drowning, and starvation; three men died. But Roosevelt lived thanks to his son Kermit who help keep him alive. When they finally got out of the forest they had the Rio of Doubt, renamed Rio Roosevelt in honor of the President, as well as a branch of that river named the Rio Kermit in Kermit's honor. After the trip Kermit married and had four children.

Avatars

An avatar is a character representing a player with a graphical representation that the player can create. A person may use and avatar for personal reasons such as for a gaming character to play with or to find fun in making one. Avatars also may be used for education purposes and business purposes, such as for communicating with other business partners or teachers and class mates. I personally have used an avatar for online game sites.
Today I tried to create an avatar on clay yourself and Go Animated and compare it to my Voki. First I tried to make an avatar on go animated. I was not able to figure out how to make an avatar and when I went to try to make a movie the page would not load, so if would not use that site again out of school. Clay yourself was a cool site that went to animating the character right away. They have many different options like Voki and created less realistic characters, but awesome looking clay like people hens Clay Yourself. Both sites; Voki and clay yourself were fun and easy to learn, but I had more fun with making my clay yourself avatar.

Feed Readers

Google Reader and Bloglines are both similar feed readers. I was able to tag all the Blogs I like on each site. I found though that I like Google Reader more than Bloglines. Google Reader shows a short summery for each blog I follow, making it easier to find out if I will enjoy the new post and what it's about. Goggle Reader also showed to have more things to do with the blogs you follow and also much easier to understand how to use. Bloglines took longer to understand how to add blogs and understand how to use the
